Fine Canaries

Norwich City return to the Premier League this season after they were relegated after the previous campaign. The club was a founding member of the Premier League and is now co-owned by celebrity chef Delia Smith. The club is famous for its bright yellow kits and is nicknamed the Canaries.

Norwich earned their way back to the English top-flight by winning the Championship play-offs last season. The club, which is now led by a rising star of a manager named Alex Neil, was founded in 1902 in Norfolk, a county in the east of England. The team draws from the surrounding area, giving it greater-than-expected fan support at Carrow Road, a stadium that first opened in 1935 and seats more than 27,000.

The club has signature moments outside the Premier League, as well, including a win over Bayern Munich in the 1993 UEFA Cup, the only win by an English club over the German giants at the Olympiastadion.
